Common questions
Booking, Timing and Same-Day Service
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes. Blocked drains don't wait for a business day, so neither do we. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays get the same fixed quote and the same response as a Tuesday.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes, genuinely. A real person answers the phone, day or night, not an answering service. If it's 3am and the toilet's overflowing, call anyway.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage backing up inside the house, an overflowing gully trap, or more than one fixture blocked at once. Any of those, call straight away rather than waiting to see if it clears itself.
How do I book?
Call (02) 9139 9922 and we'll talk through what's happening, then lock in a time, usually that same afternoon. A callback form is there too if you'd rather we ring you.
Common questions
Money, Quotes and the $65 Off
Do prices change once you start?
No. A fixed quote is exactly that, fixed. You get the price before any work begins, and it stays put once we're on site, even if the job runs longer than expected.
How does your upfront fixed pricing work?
We inspect the blockage, confirm what's causing it, then quote the job in writing before touching a tool. No hourly rate, no surprise add-ons on the invoice.
What does "from $89" actually include?
The from-$89 figure covers a straightforward blockage, the kind most Lalor Park callouts turn out to be. Anything more involved, like a collapsed section or a deep root intrusion, gets its own fixed quote before we start, never a moving number.
What discounts do you offer?
New customers save $65 on their first service. On top of that, jet blast jobs come with a free CCTV inspection, jobs over $200 add a free plumbing check-over, any completed job earns a free garden tap, and seniors get 20% off.
Common questions
Local to Lalor Park
Why do Lalor Park's older homes get blocked drains?
Much of Lalor Park was built by the Housing Commission from the late 1950s, and the drainage laid with those homes was vitrified clay. Decades later that clay has cracked and shifted in the local reactive soil, and mature street trees near spots like the Chifley Park precinct have sent roots straight into the joints. Autumn and winter are the worst stretch, when leaf drop and root activity peak together.
What suburbs do you service?
Lalor Park and the surrounding Blacktown area, including Seven Hills, Blacktown, Kings Langley, Kings Park and Marayong. Call if your street isn't listed and we'll confirm.
Can you handle new builds and renovations here?
Yes. Newer stock around the Lalor Skate Park and Chifley Park pocket runs modern PVC, which behaves differently to the old clay lines, so the diagnosis and the fix both look different. We work on both eras of pipe.
Do tree roots cause many blockages around Lalor Park?
It's the single biggest cause we see locally. Mature trees along the older streets and backyards, and near the library block off Freeman Street, push roots into any joint or crack in the post-war drainage. Once roots are in, the blockage keeps coming back until the section's cleared properly.
Common questions
The Legal Stuff, Made Simple
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
A plunger or a kettle of hot water is fine for a simple sink clog. Anything past that, actual drainage work, needs a licensed plumber under NSW law, both for compliance and so you don't push the blockage further down the line.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW plumbing licence #465156C, and every plumber and gas fitter on the team is licensed and fully insured. Ask to see it on the day if you'd like.
Do wipes really block drains?
Constantly, and it's usually "flushable" wipes that do the damage. They stay whole in the pipe instead of dissolving, so they catch on root intrusions or joints in older pipe and build into a solid clog over time.
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
Should our work on a job give out later, we'll return and put it right at no extra cost to you. It's a written promise that covers the labour side of every drain we clear.
